I chose to work in the mental health field because I find it rewarding to help others find their path toward a healthier and happier life. I believe everyone I see has the ability to create good change in their lives, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside them on their unique journeys.
As a psychotherapist, my role is to guide and encourage people as they take steps toward the change they are looking for. I take a compassionate, collaborative and supportive role in the therapy process, holistically looking at all the conditions people are dealing with. My goal is to help others be their own healers.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I provide individual, couples and family therapy to adolescents and adults. My areas of interest include grief and loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, chronic medical conditions, caregivers, anger management, family and relationship issues, and trauma.
In my free time, I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, listening to Minnesota Public Radio (MPR), gardening, watching a good comedy and traveling. I also enjoy eating ethnic food with family and friends.
