I grew up in South Minneapolis and continue to live in the area, so I really enjoy having the opportunity to work with people in the same community. I became a physician assistant knowing I wanted to work in family medicine. I love working with patients to improve their health, from starting preventive health initiatives to managing chronic illnesses. I am excited by the variety of conditions that I see in family medicine and enjoy working with patients to meet these challenges.
My background also includes education and holistic health, which shapes how I approach my patients. I do not believe it is up to me to “fix” my patients but rather to partner with them to take control of their own health. I always try to look at the whole person, recognizing how health can be impacted both negatively and positively in a variety of ways.
Beyond work, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, eating good food and spending time with family and friends.
