I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. My practice began working with run-away and homeless youth, and I continued through the years to work with youth, families, and adults working through their abuse histories, loss and other areas of trauma.
I completed my graduate work in social work in 1994 at the University of Minnesota and have focused much of my post graduate work and training in the areas of grief & loss and life limiting illness, trauma, LGBTQ identities and concerns, anxiety, and mindfulness & whole body integrative therapies. As a therapist, I view people and situations with an integrative, strengths based lens. I believe in the innate wisdom of the body, and seek to facilitate a process of discovering your individual way to reach healing and groundedness. I see therapy as a process that therapist and client engage in together. I seek to create a safe, trusting relationship in which you can explore and delve in to the issues that are most central to you at this time. I work primarily with adults, young adults, and couples.
